Dunnes Bar Division 2 – We suffered our first defeat of the year going down disappointingly by 0-12 to 4-11 to Drumreilly. We hope to get back to winning ways when we host Carrigallen next Sunday in The Park at 2pm. Please come out to support the lads.
Westlink Coaches U15 League – Unfortunately, our boys were defeated last Thursday by Allen Gaels. They now have a busy week playing away to Fenagh/St Caillins at 7pm on Tuesday 21st and home to Mohill on Friday 24th also at 7pm.
Féile 2019 – Fixtures are now finalised. We will be playing Devenish from Fermanagh and Cloonacool/Tubbercurry in Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry on Friday 28th June and then we play O’Hanrahan’s GFC from Carlow on Saturday 29th June in The Park. We will also be hosting O’Hanrahan’s Carlow for the duration of the tournament. If any families can help with hosting please make contact with a club official asap

Ladies – Well done to the St Francis ladies who had a comprehensive victory over Fenagh last Friday. They play Manorhamilton at 1.30pm this Sunday in Ballinaglera. Good luck to the ladies and management.

Congratulations – Well done to the young boys who received their First Holy Communion last Saturday and the young boys and girls who were confirmed the previous week.

Engagement – Congratulations to club player Shane Mulvey who got engaged to Kathy Keegan recently in Australia. We look forward to seeing Shane back in the red and white some time and maybe even Kathy in a St. Francis jersey!

Games/Skills Camp – Well done to all children who took part in the skills camp and the blitz last Sunday in the park. A great day had by all. Thanks to the organisers, parents and club members who helped out in any way.

Schools Football – Well done to both the Boys and Girls from St Josephs National school who won their respective Cumann na mBunscol finals on Saturday last. The girl’s team saw off the challenge of Drumshanbo National School in the Division 1 Shield Final. This was followed up by the boy’s team who captured the Division 1 League title by beating Annaduff National School.

Dunnes Bar Division 1 – The senior team returns to auction in the Dunnes Bar Division 1 league on Sunday next when they host Aughawillian in Leitrim. The game throws in at 2pm. All support would be very much welcome.

Under 15 – The under 15 team had a busy week gone by. On Thursday, last they played Annaduff and came out victorious, winning 3-05 to 1-09. Then on Monday evening, they hosted Melvin Gaels and secured another win 2-13 to 1-14. They play Drumkerran at home tomorrow Thursday at 7pm

Dunnes Bar Division 2 – the lads were out against Ballinaglera last Saturday in Drumkeerin. A big game, it always draws a crowd. At half time the score was Drumkeerin 1-07 to Ballinaglera 0-06. Under some pressure, Ballinaglera kept the game close for a long period of the second half but out lads rallied towards the end to win by 6 with a full-time score of Drumkeerin 1-15 to Ballinaglera 1-09. Next up we have Cloone, the game is at home on Sunday at 2pm. We’ve had great support as always, make sure to come and support our lads. Best of luck to all the lads and management.

Underage – our U15s were out on Monday, they played Annaduff in Drumkeerin in a shoot out of a game finishing 7-10 to 6-13. They’ll be out again on Thursday for their final league game of the year which is against Leitrim Gaels. Throw in at 7pm, come out and suppose them. Best of luck to players and management.

Speedy Recovery – Annaduff GAA would like to wish our Club President Fr.Wall a speedy recovery following a recent illness.

Annaduff National School – Hard luck to the management and players from the School boys team who narrowly lost out to Leitrim NS on Saturday last in the Division 1 Cup final held in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada. At the break the Annaduff lads led by 3 points but Leitrim seemed to get on top in the second half. Finishing out Annaduff 2-04 to Leitrim 1-08. But none the less a brilliant achievement for the players to play at the highest level in the competition. No doubt in a few short years their names will be well known on the Annaduff senior and Leitrim panel.

Connacht Championship – Hard luck to our Club representatives on the County scene last weekend. With Aine Fitzpatrick with the U16s Leitrim Girls, Jack Hughes on the Leitrim Minors where Leitrim hosted Mayo in Ballinamore on Friday evening and Viv Egan on the Leitrim Senior Ladies who hosted Roscommon in Carrick on Shannon.

Annaduff GAA Summer camp – This years Kelloggs summer camp will take place from the 8th to the 12th of July. Open to boys and girls aged between six and thirteen. Annaduff, Drumsna, Jamestown Defibrillator Group – Thank you so much to each and everybody who supported us so generously in our fundraising Spinathon at Tesco Carrick on Saturday last.  The proceeds will be split between Temple Street Children’s hospital and the defib group. They are hoping to get at least one defib into Dromod village this year. A huge thank you to Gerry from Trailblazers, Dublin Road, Carrick on Shannon who generously supplied the bikes and equipment for the Spinathon.

KELLOGG’S CÚL CAMP – It’s Cúl Camp registration time again. Our dates for the camp in Carrick are July 1st-5th (10am-2pm).  It costs €60 for the week for the 1st child, €55 for 2nd child and €45 for 3rd and subsequent children.

Children must be 6 years old at the time of the camp.

LEITRIM U20 – Good luck to Leitrim U20’s who play Sligo in The Philly McGuinness Cup Group 1-GAA U20 Football Dev League this Wednesday 22nd in Kent Park Sligo at 8pm.  The following St. Mary’s lads are on the team: Jack Barnes, Oisín Bohan, Mark Diffley, Fintan Early, Paul Keaney, Diarmuid Kelleher, David O’Connell & Seán Reynolds.

Dunnes Bar Division 1 League – No joy for the lads at the weekend against Manorhamilton but encouraging signs were shown in the second half especially as we were trailing 2-12 to 4 points at half time. A spirited second-half performance brought us back into the game as we were well on top in the second half with the final score Allen Gaels 2-9 Manor 3-17. We travel to Melvin Gaels next Sunday afternoon with a 2pm thrown in so again best of luck to all the lads.

Westlink Coaches U-15 league – The lads defeated Dromahair last Thursday evening making it 5 wins out of 5 games and they now face Mohill at home this Thursday evening at 7pm so again best of luck to all the lads and please support.

St Francis Ladies – well done to the ladies who had a good victory on Friday evening last away to Fenagh keeping them top of the table with 1 game against Manorhamilton remaining. The second team’s game against St. Josephs was postponed on Sunday morning. This week’s fixtures see the senior team play Manor at home on Sunday at 1.30 pm and the second team plays Keeldra Gaels in Gortletteragh on Friday evening at 7.30 please come out and support the two teams.

25 Card Drive – The card game continues in Aras Padraig every Sunday night at 8:30pm. All welcome.

Mothers & Others – Training has returned to the pitch again on Wednesdays at 8pm anyone with an interest in learning new skills or those who may have played previously are welcome to join. It’s a great opportunity to get fit, have fun and make new friends! All are welcome.

U-14 Girls – Hard luck to the girls who lost out to Dromahair last Tuesday evening. They play St. Josephs this Tuesday evening at home. Please come out to support the girls.

Sympathy – the club sends its deepest sympathies to the Tivnan Family on the passing of Annie’s sister Margaret Peck in the USA, Fox family Aughaguinea on the passing of Philip Fox & the family and friends of Fr. Michael Guckian who passed away last week. My they all Rest In Peace.

Cúl Camps – This year’s Cúl camps take place in Drumshanbo from Monday the 8th to Friday the 12th of July. Booking for the camp can only be done online by going on to www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie and following the instructions. These bookings should be done ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Schoolboys Win – Well done to our Schoolboys who won their final last Saturday against Kilnagross. It was exciting stuff, half time we were ahead 4-04 to 2-02 but Kilnagross cut our lead down to two points with two well-taken goals in the first minute of the second half. Our lads dug deep and put in some outstanding performances and came away with a win on a score line 7-09 to 5-05. Well done lads and coaches.

Westlink Coaches U15 – Our U15s travelled to Ballinamore last Thursday evening to take on Sean McDiarmuid Gaels which is an amalgamation of Kilturbrid and Ballinamore. We hit the ground running from the start. We never gave them an inch anywhere on the field. Half time score was Gort 13  Mc Diarmuid Gaels 03.  We continued the second half in the same style. Final score was Gort 3-17 MC Diarmuid Gaels 1-05. It’s a credit to the coaches and players to play such a nice style of football. Keep up the good work lads. Next up is Mohill on Monday at home (gone by at the time of reading this) and Manorhamilton away tomorrow (Thursday) evening.

County Juniors – Best of luck to Seamus Quinn and Sean Hynes who are part of the County junior management who take on Mayo in the Connacht Junior Football Semi Final on Saturday evening, the curtain raiser to Mayo v Roscommon.
