ACL Division Three and Four – Well done to our Division three team who were in action on Saturday evening against Gaeil Na Meilge, thankfully the weather had improved and the lads put in another impressive performance winning the game by a score of 1:13 to 0:06. The win leaves the lads in third place on 6 points with 4 played. Next up is an away match against Glencar Manor on Saturday at 19:00

Our Division 4 lads were also in action at the weekend defeating the neighbours Aughawillian with another impressive display in the league, the lads won the match by a score of 2:16 to 0:04. The win leaves the lads in second place on 7 points with 5 games played. next up for the lads is an away match against Mohill on Sunday at 12:00.

Under 15 MacDiarmada Gaels – Well done to our u15 lads who followed up their win against Glencar Manor with another impressive league win this time they defeated St Mary’s away in a tight match winning the game by 2 points with a final score of 4:08 to 2:12. Round 3 takes place on Thursday evening when they take on St Josephs at 19:00

Sponsored Cycle – For the first time in many years the Club are organising a sponsored cycle.

On Sunday, May 12th when Leitrim play Roscommon in the Connacht Championship in Hyde Park, Roscommon we are going to cycle the 40 odd miles from Ballinamore to Roscommon.

It is hoped that players, supporters, young and old will take part in what should be a great day’s craic.

It’s not a race and you travel at your own pace with groups travelling at various times on that Sunday morning.

Under 13 Div 2 Final  –  Naomh Brid played Naomh Seosaimh  in the re-scheduled game  in glorious sunshine in Pairc Sean on Good F- riday eve – this was a great game of football  Naomh Seosaimh got off the mark first but Naomh Brid went in at the break 1 4 to 1 2 after a great goal on the stroke of half time from the boot of Thomas Gunn – it was nip and tuck for the second half with some great football and great scores it was edge of the seat stuff with Naomh Seosaimh scoring a 45 to level the game at 1 7 each  with  time up so these boys had another day out.

What a contrast in the weather for the replay on Friday eve last with the rain coming down in torrents in Cloone – again this was a great game but Naomh Seosaimh ran out winners by 5 points on a scoreline of 1 14 to 2 6 – comhghairdeas to all involved with Naomh Brid – our reps with Naomh Brid were Thomas Gunn, Senan McTeigue, Cormac Moran, Rhyan Akbar,  Diarmuid Flynn, Miceal Moran, Francis Flynn, Enda Reynolds, Shane Dolan, Cillian McWeeney – well done boys.

Division 1 League  –  We played Gortletteragh on a balmy eve last Saturday week in Gortletteragh – we got off to a great start with a goal from Conor Cullen in the first few seconds – we continued to push forward with some great scores from Fintan Fitzpatrick 4 points Ben McGirl 2 points, Conor Cullen 1point Fergal Earley 1 point which left the score at half time 1 8 to 3 ponts – Gortletteragh got into the game the 2nd half but we held out for a 4 point win on a scoreline of 1 15 to 2 8 – this  was a great win  and we have 4 points from 3 games – there is a break now until after Leitrim play Roscommon in the Championship on May 12th.  Well done to all involved.

Wedding  –  Comhghairdeas to Conor McTeigue and  Áine Nic Dhomhnaill who were married on Saturday last in Ballymote – good wishes for a happy and healthy future together – Conor has been a  regular in Scor over the years taking part in Rince Seit.

Swan Bar Division 3 League – we played Glencar Manorhamilton on Sunday last and recorded a 3.08 to 1.09 win. This Saturday we travel to take on Glenfarne at 7pm.
Westlink Coaches U15 League – on Thursday last the lads lost to Annaduff by 3.08 to 0.05. This Thursday we travel to play Drumkeeran. Throw in is at 7pm.
Festival of football – our u11 boys took part in the recent festival of football in the Leitrim Centre of Excellence. They competed against teams from all over Leitrim and had a very enjoyable outing. On Sat last our u9’s hosted Kiltubrid in a blitz. Well done to all.

Swan Bar Division 3 League – our juniors hosted Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher last weekend. Final score Drumkeerin 3-7 (16) to Glenfarne/Kilty 1-4 (7). Scoring all three goals in the first half really set the lads up well, well done to players and management. The juniors don’t have a match for May while the first team will be out three weekends in a row.

U15 – our u15s bounced back from their first game with a good win against Mohill last Friday. Final score Mohill 1-12 (15), Drumkeerin 6-7(22). They’ll be out again this Thursday, throw in at 7pm home to Fenagh. Best of luck to all involved, come out to support out lads.

U15’s – Hard luck to our U15’s who suffered another very narrow defeat on Thursday last, this time to MacDiarmada Gaels on a scoreline of 2.12 to 4.08.   We play Mohill next Thursday 02nd May at the earlier time of 6.30pm.

DIVISION 3 & 4 –  Congratulation to our Div 3 team who beat Allen Gaels on Saturday evening, final score was 3.16 to 0.10.  Hard luck to our Div 4 team who were beaten by Kiltubrid on a scoreline of 0.16 to 0.04 on Sunday last.

U14 LADIES – Well done to our U14 girls who beat St. Josephs in a very competitive, physical game in Carrigallen last Tuesday evening. They played Melvin Gaels last night in Páirc Naomh Mhuire.

INTERMEDIATE LADIES – Bornacoola/St Mary’s earned their first league points of the Division 2 League on Friday evening last as they accounted for Fenagh in their second match of the season when after a storming second-half performance they finished victorious on a 4-9 to 3-3 scoreline at Páirc Naomh Mhuire. After a very evenly balanced first half the sides retired to the interval level at 0-4 to 1-1. However, a third-quarter blitz on the visitors’ goals yielded the match-winning scores and despite a Fenagh rally in the closing stages the defence held firm to record the victory. The girls travel to Manorhamilton on Sunday next for a round three encounter with the home side at 1pm.

The Big Hello – The Big Hello! taking place during the May Bank Holiday is a nationwide weekend of community celebration. Our event will be on Sunday the 5th of May at 12pm. Starting at the Community Centre we will be having a Walk/Run on Bothar na Naomh. Tea and refreshments will be served at 12.30pm in the Community Centre. We are hoping to have our biggest turn out so far! The event is for everyone whether taking part in the walk/run or joining us for tea afterwards. All Welcome. 

The Big Hello – The Big Hello is a national community weekend that will take place over the course of this May Bank holiday weekend coming. The initiative is to strengthen community ties and also tackle social isolation. The Bornacoola GAA club and the Bornacoola Community Development Association will be running a great social event in the Bornacoola Community centre on Sunday, May 5th from 3 to 5pm. Expect music, food and chat, children’s entertainent and most of all a chance to socialise with neighbours and friends. The event is FREE, and is meant for all ages and all parts of the community so make sure you get along on Sunday and encourage your neighbours and friends to attend to as there is a great couple of hours in store.
