Club Draw – The Club Draw for June takes place this Saturday, June 23rd in the Copper Still.
 
Division 4 – Our final junior game in the Division 4 league takes place this Saturday evening when we host Leitrim Gaels in Dromod at 4.30 – the prefect preparation for the big game in Carrick on Shannon (Leitrim v Louth throws in at 7pm) and with a league final place on the line, it should be a cracker too.
 
Under 12 Cross County League – Our U12 team continued their campaign last week in the Cross County league playing 2 games.We travelled to Leitrim Gaels on Monday last in what was a great game throughout and it was the home side that ran out eventual winners. On Thursday last we welcomed Wolfe Tones Óg to Dromod this was a very even first half with the sides going in level at half-time but it was the away side aided by the strong wind that won out in the end. Our young Bors are showing great improvement in every game and they finish their campaign this Thursday when we welcome St Vincent’s to Dromod at 7.30. Sympathies – The sympathies of the Club are extended to our President, Fr Gerry O Brien, on the passing of his brother, Michael last week. A native of Cornafean,   Michael spent the last number of years of his life in Bornacoola and then Rooskey and was laid to rest in Coronea, Co Cavan on Friday last. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
 
U12 Girls – Our under 12 Girls had their first outing in the championship this evening in Dromod with Drumkeerin providing the opposition. The girls gave an excellent display of football, showed great teamwork and took some excellent scores and came away with a well-deserved victory. The team on duty were as follows

Cúl Camp Reminder – Don’t forget to register for Cúl Camp on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie – the Bornacoola camp is on from 13th to 17th August. Cost €60 1st child; €50 2nd Child and €40 3rd/4th child
 
Spin the Wheel – The Club will try our version of Spin the Wheel next October – everyone lobes to watch Marty on a Saturday night and how often have we sat at home wishing it was us spinning that famous wheel? Now that wish can come true as four lucky people will have a chance to Spin the Wheel in the Copper Still on Sunday 28th of October when there will be the chance to win a top prize of €1000. Tickets will be available in the next couple of weeks, so get ready for a great night that will include music and the usual fun & frolics guaranteed.  

Lotto – The next Lotto draw will be run by The Player’s Team which will be held in “The Dugout” on Saturday 23rd June.  The Jackpot is €11,100. Lotto envelopes €2 each or three envelopes for €5.

Fixtures – Our next Div. 3 game will take place in Aughavas on Sunday 24th June at 12 noon against Glencar/Manorhamilton.  Please come out and support the lads.

Meeting – A Golf Classic Meeting will take place on Thursday 21st at 9pm in the Club rooms.

2018 Kellogg’s Cúl Camps in Leitrim

Aughavas Kellogg’s Cul Camps will take place from Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July. Registration for Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps 2018 is currently underway online via the website,  https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/booking/ Please note: The online booking facility will close at noon on the Wednesday preceding the week of the camps. Please be aware that Registrations will NOT be accepted on the first morning of camp. The only method of registration will be via the online link.

Swan Bar Division 3 – The lads lost a high scoring game against St. Marys in Carrick on Saturday evening on a scoreline of 5-10 to 1-15. We play Eslin away on Sunday morning at 12noon. Best of luck to the lads.

U-12 Cross Border League – The U-12’s lost out to St. Marys in Carrick on Thursday evening last. We travel to Killoe this Thursday. Best of luck to all concerned.

U-12 Girls: The girls began their campaign with a loss to a strong Ballinamore Sean  O’Heslins team in Ballinaglera last week. Our ladies can be very proud and played right to the end. Thanks to Frankie Reynolds and to Ballinaglera for the use of their facilities. The panel of players on duty was: Brianna O’Donnell, Aoibheann McGowan, Rachel McCormack, Leah McLoughlin,  Andrea Gilmartin, Erin McCawley, Grace Gillard, Aloisa Dowler, Elizabeth Flynn, Alice McGovern, Mollie Smith, Hayley Woods, Katie McGovern, Ella Guckian, Laoise McManus, Ella Casey. We play Kiltubrid away this week in the next fixture so good luck to the team & manager, Paul McGowan. 

Kellogg’s Cul Camps – Please note that the summer coaching camp takes place in Drumshanbo from July 9th– 13th. Booking should be made online on the Leitrim GAA website.

Lotto – There was no winner of the lotto jackpot last week the numbers drawn were 04-14-24-28. Dublin-Leitrim Aughawillan Cycle – A Presentation evening will be held, to bring the cycle to a close and to acknowledge the hard work put in by all involved over the past couple of months, on Saturday 30th June in Aughawillan Clubrooms. Corraleehan Heritage & Cultural Society –  The Annual Bonfire in Corraleehan will be held on St. Johns Eve, Saturday the 23rd June at 8pm. Bonfire Night is always a fun tradition to remember our past, pray for the year ahead and bond with our community,with live music, scéal agus craic. Musicians please bring your instruments, songbirds your voices and dancers your shoes. Corraleehan Parish Walk – Corraleehan Parish Walk continues each Thursday night at 8.30pm from Corraleehan Church. Community spirit, health, fitness, whatever your goals we will be happy to see you, everyone welcome.

Under 12 League – The under 12 team continued their Longford Leitrim League with another victory over St Vincents on Thursday last, 3-10 to 2-04. They play St Francis tomorrow evening Thursday at home in Leitrim at 7:30pm

Division 4 – The Division 4 team play Bornacoola away on Saturday at 4:30pm.

RESULTS – Well done to our Division 3 team who beat Allen Gaels on a scoreline of 5.10 to 1.15 in the Swan Bar League on Sat last. Unfortunately, our Division 4 team got beaten by Ballinagleara on Sunday on a score line of 3.09 to 4.12. Well done to both our U12 teams who beat Allen Gaels in the Cross-Border League.

Seniors – Our senior lads were in action on Saturday in the rearranged league fixture against Glencar Manorhamilton, unfortunately, we were beaten by a score of 0:12 to 0:07. The result leaves us behind Glencar in second place on 9 points

Division 4 – The division 4 lads were involved in a high scoring and entertaining draw on Sunday against Naomh Padraig with the final score 3:12 each, next up for the lads is a game against Kiltubrid on Sunday at 12:00 in Kiltubrid.

A Night Not to be missed !!! – Folks over the years the great and illustrious Tommy Moran has hosted some very exciting and memorable “This is your Life” nights and on Thursday the 12th of July Tommy will be back in action with the big red book surprising a local star of the town who shall remain secret till the event. U12 Girls – Well done to the U12 Girls who had a good win in their first match v St Francis. The girls were sporting their New Jersey’s which were provided by the club and celebrate the towns 400 years celebrations. Hopefully, the new jerseys will bring the girls continued success this season.

Hurling Boys – Our U13 players headed to the peace park in Clones on Monday evening to take on Truagh Gaels of Emyvale, Monaghan. It took us a while to settle but we came into it in the 2nd half and gave a great account of ourselves. This competition has been a fantastic experience for our young hurlers and they are improving with every match. Well done to their dedicated trainer Neil Connelly who has done an excellent job with these boys and we wish Neil and the team further success in the Tain League U9 and Nursery

Well done to our under 9 players who took part in a great blitz against St Joesph’s in Ballinamore on Saturday gone. It was an excellent game with lots of talent on show. Special thanks to Charlie and the St Joseph’s players for traveling over to play us and as ever special thanks to our coaches, parents and players for attending.

U11 – A great game on Monday evening in the pairc for our u11 players who were up against a very good Mohill team. Again thanks to Mohill for traveling over for the match and as ever all the mentors, parents and players from both sides for facilitating the game.

All Ireland Qualifiers – good luck to the Leitrim team who take on Louth on Sat evening next in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada. The curtain-raiser to this game is the Connacht minor championship game between Leitrim and Roscommon which throws in at 5pm. Best of luck to Fenagh’s Donal Wrynn and Ryan O’Rourke in the senior game and Conall McGovern, Tom McKeon and Owen McLoughlin in the minor game.

Swan Bar League Div 3 – we received a walkover from Glencar Manorhamilton in last weekend’s scheduled game. On Sunday next we travel to play Drumkeeran with a 12pm throw in.

Longford Leitrim League – our u12 team defeated Granard/Ballymore on Thursday last and are now in the semi final where they play Glencar Manorhamilton away on Tuesday 19th June at 7pm.
