Senior Championship – Drumreilly were the opposition in last Saturday’s Senior Relegation semi-final played in Cloone. The Bors got off to a slow start, failing to score for almost 25 minutes – points from Anthony Mulligan and Cian Mallon got us off the board eventually, but trailing by 0-7 to 0-2 at half time we faced an uphill battle in the second half. While we did manage to narrow the gap to just three points at one stage in the second half, Drumreilly retained control throughout and were fully deserving of their 0-13 to 0-9 victory. We now enter the relegation final where we will play either Aughnasheelin or Dromahair with senior status for 2019 at stake. Team on Saturday was Daniel Farrell, Brian Duffy, Gary Mc Closkey, Jason Conroy, Mervyn Howard, Conor Mc Cauley, Damian Mc Guinness, Allan Croghan, Anthony Mulligan (0-4), Philip Howard, Ollie Vaughan, Ronan Mulligan, Brian Conroy (0-1), Sean Mc Keon and Cian Mallon (0-2). Senior Championship – We bowed out of the championship on Saturday evening in Pairc Sean losing to defending champions Mohill on a scoreline of 3-17 to 0-08. After an encouraging opening 20 minutes, it was all Mohill as we faded out of the game. The final margin was harsh on the players who put in a big effort. While we showed flashes of promise this season, we certainly learned that Division 2 is no preparation for the senior championship and it is important that everyone remains focussed for the coming weeks with a crucial league playoff with Dromahair to come that will decide who joins Annaduff in Division 1 next year. We wish Mohill well in the remainder of the championship and well done to the players & management for their commitment all year.

With our side getting 1:04 inside the first 7 min with points from Kenny Cox and Sean Mc Nabola and a goal from Sean Duignan after a well-worked move up the field and a super pass from Kenny. But as always Ballinaglera were always going to come strong and they did shoot some lovely points in the first half to bring the sides level by the 23rd min at 1:6 to 0:9 Ballinaglera. Ronan McCormack getting the last score of the half to leave the Annaduff men 1 up at the break.
The second half started with 2 converted frees from Sean McNabola and Sean Duignan followed up by another super worked goal finished by Alan Glancy palming it into the Ballinaglera net. In the 48min Annaduff were reduced to 14 men following a straight red for Keith. But Ballinaglera failed to make any impact with the extra man. Themselves reduced to 14 men in the 56min but by then the game was as good as put to bed. Full-time score Annaduff 2:15 Ballinaglera 0:14. now we march onto the Semi-Finals where we face Eslin.
